Perseid observing at Big Meadows

Big Meadows in Shenandoah National Park (Milepost 51) is a great place to view the meteor shower. I suggest to get there early and if you don’t like crowds, this may not be the place for you. If the sky is clear, this is an excellent spot for observing. Some club members will be there as part of the Night Skies program for Delaware North. Weather permitting, event will go until 3 am August 12th.
