Night Skies at Big Meadows, Shenandoah National Park

National Parks are becoming a refuge for people from city light pollution. Guests will be instructed in constellation identification, astronomical objects locations and how to use binoculars for astronomy. Highlights tonight will be  28% Crescent Moon, Milky Way, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus. Mars late.

Free to all park visitors. Binoculars, a blanket, chair, and flashlight are recommended.

Presentation is cancelled if there is inclement weather. Call 540-999-2222 the day of the event to check on its status.
