To celebrate Astronomy Day on Sunday, November 24, 2013, from 1:00 to 4:30 pm, the Charlottesville Astronomical Society is sponsoring a Build A Telescope Workshop for a grade 4 through 12 student with their parent. CLASS IS POSTPONED UNTIL MIRRORS COME OFF BACK-ORDER. Attendees in this workshop will make their own 114 mm, f4.5 Newtonian telescope to take home and will be provided information on how to use it and what they can find with it in the night sky. $50 covers the cost of the telescope and materials.
