Charlottesville Astronomical Society

The Charlottesville Astronomical Society (CAS) is an amateur astronomy club based in Charlottesville, Virginia, and dedicated to promoting the enjoyment of observing and learning for people of all ages, backgrounds and levels of astronomical experience.

Regular club meetings take place on the first Wednesday of each month, 7:00pm, at the McCormick Observatory, University of Virginia. Observing sessions at dark-sky sites take place at least once a month on the Friday or Saturday closest to the new moon.

Annual Membership Dues are $25.00 per individual, $30.00 per family or $15.00 with senior discount (65 or over), student discount, or military discount (active military).  You may join any time of year.  Those who join after October 1 of any year do not have to renew the following year. Membership renewal is due by the first club meeting in December.
